Six faculty members from �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ�’s School of Art have been awarded Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Awards for 2017. The winners are (Ceramics), (Painting), (Textiles), (Photography),

�þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� City Schools awarded its March Collaborative Organization of the Month to �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ�’s Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion’s Diversity Education and Training Lab.

The Diversity Education and Training Lab promotes dialogue and helps develop inclusion in various environments. The lab also touches on topics such as microaggressions, cultural competency and discrimination. Lisa Givan, associate director of diversity training, oversees and serves as lead facilitator within the lab.

During its annual conference in Columbus, the Ohio Aviation Association designated the �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� Airport as its Airport of the Year.

�þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� at Trumbull sophomore Deneen Penn was crowned Miss Ohio Collegiate America 2017 and now advances to compete for the title of Miss Collegiate America in Little Rock, Arkansas.

�þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� School of Theatre and Dance Professor Tamara L. Honesty helped to bring a beloved 1980s television series to the stage in the Human Race Theatre Company's world premiere production of Family Ties.

Miriam Matteson, Ph.D., School of Library and Information Science, co-presented (with Kara Reuter) “Real World Assessment: Using Data to Evaluate Library Products and Services” at the Ohio Library Council annual conference on Sept. 29, 2016, in Sandusky, Ohio.

Lala Hajibayova, Ph.D., School of Library and Information Science, was invited to become an associate member of the Caucasus Research Resource Centers’ Network of Researchers in Social Sciences ().

Kiersten Latham, Ph.D., School of Information, published a paper titled “The Curious Case of Floating Fixity (and Its Relationship to Authenticity)” in Proceedings from the Document Academy in Vol. 3, Issue 2, in December 2016.
