�þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ�’s Division of Research and Sponsored Programs is hosting the fifth installment of the Research and Innovation Forum speaker series on Feb. 22. The forum will take place at University Library in the First Floor Garden Room from 4-6 p.m. and will feature three speakers.

Student volunteers from the Campus Kitchen at �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� have kicked off a weeklong “Raise the Dough” online fundraising challenge to benefit hunger relief efforts in �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ�.

�þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ�’s Special Education program is seeking applicants for its Early Intervention Certificate Program for the 2017-18 academic year.

�þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ�'s Office of Student Accessibility Services recently moved to University Library on Risman Drive, a more central campus location.

The office is now situated in the newly renovated Suite 100 on the first floor of University Library, just past the first-floor elevators. The move occurred on Jan. 3 over the 2016-2017 Winter Recess.

Julie Di Biasio, interim director of the Office of Student Accessibility Services at �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� State, says students and staff are excited about the move.

�þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ�'s Department of Intercollegiate Athletics held its third annual 4.0 GPA Student-Athlete Breakfast on Feb.

�þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ�'s Recreational Services and Residence Services departments have collaborated to open a new fitness facility in the Tri-Towers Rotunda.

Mansoureh Shasti, an Iranian Ph.D. student studying physics at �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ�, recently returned to the U.S. after being blocked by the travel ban. 

The Rural Scholars program at the �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� Columbiana County campuses received $7,500 from the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation.

The �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� City Council and mayor dubbed �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ�, Ohio, the state’s Tree City. This year marks the ninth year �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� is being recognized by the Tree Campus USA program.

�þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ�’s unique programs and majors have attracted students from all over the world, including a few from the largest state in the nation. Currently, six students from Alaska – two undergraduate and four graduate – are taking classes from �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� State.
