�þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� President Beverly Warren inspired the university community to embrace the upcoming academic year as the “Year of Innovation” in seeking new ways to collaborate with a collective purpose that makes a positive impact on the region and the world. 

Angela Spalsbury, Ph.D., of Chesterland, Ohio, has been selected as the new dean and chief administrative officer of �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� at Geauga in Burton and �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� State’s Regional Academic Center in Twinsburg. A �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� State alumna, Dr. Spalsbury currently serves as professor and chair of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Youngstown State University. She will join �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� State on Jan.

The Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Finals are Friday, Oct. 27, from noon-2 p.m. in the �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� Student Center Kiva. The 3MT gives �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� graduate students just three minutes and one PowerPoint slide as tools to explain their research in a clear, engaging and concise manner.

�þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� at Salem has officially opened its new virtual reality classroom, providing students and staff with technology that will greatly enhance learning experiences across several areas of study.

Nurses wanting to pursue a baccalaureate degree now have an easier way to do so, thanks to the �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� College of Nursing’s revised, 100 percent online RN-to-BSN program that was launched this semester.

Peggy Nzomo, Ph.D, University Libraries, presented “Defining Multilingual Information Literacy (MLIL) in the Workplace: Implications for Academic Libraries in the U.S. and Canada” at the European Conference on Information Literacy (ECIL) in Saint Malo, France, on Sept. 18, 2017.
