Three community members have been named to the Tuscarawas County University Branch District Board of Trustees and the Tuscarawas County University Foundation at ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ at Tuscarawas.

Ratchneewan Ross, associate dean of the Ph.D. program and director of international initiatives at ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´â€™s College of Nursing, will be inducted as a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing in October.

¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ will hold its Summer 2016 Commencement ceremony for the ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ Campus on Saturday, Aug. 20, at the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center.

Each summer, 15 female high school students receive a free, three-day camp experience through the Nikki Kukwa Memorial Aviation Fund and ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´â€™s College of Applied Engineering, Sustainability and Technology.

Jo Dowell, Ph.D., assistant professor and research faculty in the College of Nursing, presented her research findings at the 27th Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Research Congress in Cape Town, South Africa.

¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ President Beverly Warren has announced the appointment of Stephen Sokany, an alumnus and longtime employee, to the position of vice president for institutional advancement, effective Aug. 8, 2016. Sokany has served the university since 1993 in a number of development and institutional advancement roles, most recently as executive associate vice president for institutional advancement. Sokany replaces Jeff McLain, who stepped down from the position Aug. 1, 2016.

¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´â€™s Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost Todd Diacon has announced that Susan Stocker, Ph.D., has been appointed interim dean and chief administrative officer of ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ at Geauga, located in Burton, Ohio, and ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ State’s Regional Academic Center in Twinsburg, effective Aug. 20, 2016. Stocker has led ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ State Ashtabula as dean and chief administrative officer since 2001 and will continue in this role.
