Online final grading for summer 2 2017 (S2) began Thursday, Aug. 3, via FlashFAST. Grading also is now available for any summer 2017 course section that was flexibly scheduled. The deadline for grading submission is midnight on Tuesday, Aug. 8. Any final grades for summer 2017 courses not reported in FlashFAST by the grades processing deadline will have to be submitted using the Grade Change Workflow. These summer 2017 courses will be available in the Workflow on Thursday, Aug. 10.

The National League for Nursing has again designated �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ�’s College of Nursing as a Center of Excellence for 2017-2022 in the category of “Advance the Science of Nursing Education.”

Peter C. Kratcoski Sr., Department of Sociology at �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ� at Stark, delivered the presentation “Gerontological Criminology (Gero-Crimology): Crime Policy and Legislation” at the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences in Kansas City, Missouri, on March 23, 2017.

Christine A. Hudak, Ph.D., School of Information, was featured in the “Meet an Expert” section of the February 2017 HIMSS Information Xchange e-newsletter. The article focuses on her role as editor of The HIMSS HIT Dictionary, Fourth Edition, which was released earlier this year. 

Robin Selinger, Liquid Crystal Institute; Michael Varga, graduate student, Chemical Physics Interdisciplinary Program; and Andrew Konya, former graduate student in the Chemical Physics Interdisciplinary Program, authored "Making Waves in a Photoactive Polymer Film" in Nature, 546, Issue 29 June 2017, (2017): 632-636.

Jonathan Maletic, Ph.D., professor in the Department of Computer Science in the College of Arts and Sciences at �þ���ҹ����ӰԺ��ѹۿ�, has received a three-year, $290,610 grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to help support basic research on how programmers write and develop large-scale software systems.
