Nancy Mackey, a senior horticulture student at ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ at Salem, recently received the Ohio Nursery and Landscape Association scholarship. Mackey was one of 17 students from across the state to receive the scholarship, valued at $1,000, and the only student from ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´. The ONLA awards scholarships each year to Ohio green industry students. ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ at Salem recently formed a Behavioral Sciences Advisory Board that will advise, assist, support and advocate for behavioral sciences programs, students and studies. The board consists of faculty and administrative members from the local campus, as well as community volunteers who can share expert knowledge of the professional tasks and competency requirements for behavioral sciences occupations.   1. Definitions.
    1. Accusation – formal allegation of specific conduct violation(s).
    2. Adjudication – the process by which the university conducts disciplinary meetings, hearings, or other actions, bringing matters to resolution.
    3. Administrative conversation - informal discussion with the director of student conduct (or designee) that is educational and informative in nature, and shall not result in binding decisions.

The Office of Sexual and Relationship Violence and Support Services is the recipient of three grants to launch campuswide awareness and prevention initiatives surrounding sexual harassment and assault, relationship violence and stalking. The three grants total approximately $450,000. Each grant has a focus that corresponds with the initiatives it will fund on campus. The Violence Against Women Act Campus Programs grant allocates $300,000 over three years for Prevention Education and Awareness. Cross Country Team

On Thursday, May 18, ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ at Trumbull officially announced its reinstatement of campus athletic programs. This fall, ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ State Trumbull will be home to women’s and men’s cross country teams. It is the first competitive sport the school has offered since 1992 when it had basketball, volleyball and golf teams. Following the completion of spring semester, a delegation of faculty members from ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ - accompanied by several staff members of the ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ State China Center - will be touring China over the next few weeks to promote STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education, while also promoting ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ State as a preferred academic destination for Chinese students.
