This year, the ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ Women’s Center is celebrating 20 years of service and leadership at ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ State. Over the past two decades, the center has changed its mission to respond to the changing community, expanding from a resource center for faculty to a much larger center serving students, faculty and staff, with programs addressing a wide variety of needs and interests.

The ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ Women’s Center will offer digital mammogram screenings to qualified ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ State employees, spouses and students on Oct. 10-13 from 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. The mammograms will be held at DeWeese Health Center, Room 135, on the ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ Campus.

Each participant’s health insurance will be billed or participants may choose to self-pay.

Online final grading for Fall 2016 First 5 Weeks (F1: 8/29/2016–10/2/2016) begins Thursday, Sept. 29, via FlashFAST. Grading also is now available for any fall 2016 course section that was flexibly scheduled and has an end date no later than Oct. 2. The deadline for grading submission is midnight on Tuesday, Oct. 4. Any final grades for fall 2016 courses not reported in FlashFAST by the grades processing deadline will have to be submitted using the Grade Change Workflow.

For the ninth straight year, ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ at Stark honored the men and women of its local safety forces by providing a free lunch to them in recognition of National Campus Safety Awareness Month.

The Campus Kitchen at ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ is celebrating its fifth anniversary and has launched a new program as part of activities marking its fifth year. 

The concept of social justice covers a diverse collection of human rights and equality issues, challenging societies to see all people as part of a common humanity.

The mission of ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´â€™s Office of General Counsel is to advance the university’s strategic goals, while preserving the legal, ethical and financial integrity of the institution.

Project AWARE ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ is an initiative to raise awareness about mental health and substance abuse disorders. Project AWARE ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ will be offering mental health first-aid courses to ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ students, faculty and staff in an effort to create a network of people at the university who will know how to respond and are aware of mental health and substance abuse disorders. The course is an evidence-based training that teaches people to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders. The two-day (four hours each day) course is free.
