Denise A. Seachrist, Ph.D., of Rootstown, Ohio, has been selected to serve as dean and chief administrative officer of ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ at Stark, located in North Canton, Ohio. Seachrist has served as interim dean of ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ State Stark, the only public university in Stark County and the largest Regional Campus of ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ State, since July 1, 2014. She began serving as the permanent dean on Feb. 1, 2016.

Calling Local Artists for Main Street ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´â€™s 10th Annual Art and Wine Festival
The 10th annual Main Street ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ Art and Wine Festival will take place Saturday, June 4, from noon-10 p.m. in downtown ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´. Proceeds will benefit Main Street ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´, the nonprofit organization dedicated to the revitalization of downtown ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´. The Art and Wine Festival features local artists, live entertainment and wineries from all over Ohio.

¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ held its 14th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration on Jan. 28 in the ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ Student Center Ballroom. The keynote speaker for the event was Joy-Ann Reid, national correspondent for MSNBC. The commemorative event also recognized the 2016 recipients of ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ State’s Diversity Trailblazer Award, which honors diversity pioneers associated with ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ State, and Unity Award for Diversity, which recognizes the contributions of any ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ State unit that demonstrates significant contributions in the areas of diversity, equity, and/or inclusion.
