The ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ Board of Trustees welcomed the Class of 2026 at the Board’s regular quarterly meeting held Sept. 21 at the ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ Airport. ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ State’s freshman class began classes on the ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ Campus nearly 7% larger than the previous year with 4,251 students – the eighth largest incoming class in the university’s 112-year history.

¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´â€™s Class of 2026 has arrived on the ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ Campus in strong numbers – 4,251 to be exact – an increase of nearly 7% over the previous year, the largest class since before the pandemic and the eighth largest incoming class in the university’s 112-year history.

¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ State Honored as a Military Spouse Friendly School

¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ State’s support for its military-connected community continues to embody leadership and inclusivity as the ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ Campus has been named an official 2022-2023 Military Spouse Friendly® School by Viqtory. Out of 1,800 participating schools, ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ State was one of 665 to receive the Military Friendly School designation in March, and the university is now one of 346 institutions to earn the Military Spouse Friendly School recognition. 

Alumnus Lloyd De Vos Presents 'Equal Justice Under Law For All'

In celebration of the Constitution Day, New York attorney and ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ State alumnus Lloyd De Vos spoke on the U.S. Constitution’s impact on our government and discussed his personal experience arguing a case before the U.S. Supreme Court. 

¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ State’s Hometown Named One of the Best by Ohio Magazine

Members of the ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ community can take great pride in their university’s hometown. The city of ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ has been selected by Ohio Magazine as a 2022-2023 Best Hometown. The Best Hometown honor recognizes ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ as a great place to live, work and visit.
