Audition Dates for Fall 2026 Enrollment

  • January 24, 2026

  • February 16, 2026

  • February 28, 2026

  • March 21, 2026 (virtual audition day only, more information forthcoming)
    • Students will submit videos of their required audition materials no later than 11:59 p.m. Sunday, March 15.  Information on how to submit videos will be provided on this website in early 2026.
    • On March 21, all students will virtually meet with the applied faculty member that teaches their instrument or voice part, and all prospective music education majors will virtually interview with our music education faculty.
    • Students will receive an email with a Teams link for this meeting and their assigned meeting time early during the week of March 16.
    • Students will also receive a link to a virtual Student Q & A Session that will happen from 11-11:45 a.m. and a Parent Q & A Session that will happen from 12-12:45 p.m. on Saturday, March 21. This will be an opportunity for students and parents to interact with Dr. Sarah Labovitz, associate director of the school of music and ask any questions they may have about the programs, school, or university.
    • Any students that want to audition virtually but are not available for the interactive sessions on March 21 should register for the March 21 audition day, submit their videos by the March 15 deadline and email Associate Director Dr. Sarah Labovitz at slabovit@kent.edu to set up an alternate time to connect with their prospective applied faculty member.

If none of our audition days work with your calendar, please email musicadmission@kent.edu to set up a personalized audition at a day and time that is mutually convenient for you and the applied teacher that teaches your instrument or voice part.
