Choosing to attend a college or university is a major decision for any high school senior. The COVID -19 pandemic made this choice even more difficult as the lockdown thrust many students, instructors, and staff into a fairly new form of untested educational format in online telecommuting rather than in-person instructing.

¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ State Honors College Student Announced as 2021 Portz Scholar

The National Collegiate Honors Council has announced ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ Honors College graduate Sarah Hagglund as a 2021 Portz Scholar. Hagglund is the 10th honors student from ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ State to be named a Portz Scholar since the national competition began in 1990.

LONG TIME KENT STATE PROFESSOR LEADS HONORS STUDENTS THROUGH REMOTE LEARNING

Dirk Remley has been with ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ since 1990. Remley graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature. He continued his studies at Bowling Green State University by earning his Masters of Arts in English Literature. He then completed his Ph.D. in rhetoric and composition from ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´.
