Exciting Future Predicted for Brain Health Research Institute
With great hope and expectations for the future of brain health research at ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´, President Beverly J. Warren introduced Michael N. Lehman, Ph.D., as the inaugural director of the university’s Brain Health Research Institute on Feb. 25.

Following a national search, ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ has named alumnus Kenneth Burhanna as the new dean of University Libraries, effective March 1, 2019.

Michael N. Lehman, Ph.D., a leader in the field of neuroendocrinology and circadian rhythms, is the newly appointed director of ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´â€™s Brain Health Research Institute.

For the 10th consecutive time, ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ State has earned the 2019-2020 Military Friendly School designation for its ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ Campus. Military Friendly rates companies and colleges on their programs to recruit and retain military veterans as employees and students.

Collaboration and Curriculum Lead to Growth in Marketing Program Graduates
In May 2018, ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ had the largest number of undergraduate degrees ever awarded. One of the majors with the biggest spikes in growth from the previous year was marketing, which saw an increase of 43 students. The marketing major at ¾Ã¾ÃÎçÒ¹ÐßÐßÓ°ÔºÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´ State, housed in the College of Business and Administration, aims to teach students valuable skills and lessons they can implement outside of the classroom.
